북한 김정일의 아들 김정은이 할아버지 김일성과 더 닮아 보이기 위해 수술을 한

(go under the knife to look more like his grandfather) 것 아니냐는 의혹이 외신에서도 화제가 되고 있다.

영국 일간지 데일리메일은 "대부분 사람들은 성형수술을 시간을 되돌리는 방편으로 생각해본다

(look to plastic surgery as a way of turning back time)"면서 "

그러나 북한정권의 27세 후계자(the 27-year-old heir to the North Korean regime)인 김정은은

할아버지와 닮아 보이려고 수술을 하는 정반대 방향을 택했다는(take the opposite tack) 설이 있다"고 전했다.

다음은 주요 내용.

김정은과 북한의 가족왕조 창시자(the founder of the family dynasty) 김일성의

놀라울 정도로 닮은 모습에 대한 여러 추측들(various speculations over the striking similarity)이 나오고 있다.

북한이 공개한 김정은 사진은 김일성과 확연히 닮았음을 보여주고(reveal an unmistakable resemblance) 있다.

턱 아래 처진 살(chubby jowls), 이중턱(double chin), 아래로 향한 입(down-turned mouth),

뒤로 넘긴 머리 스타일(swept-back hairstyle)이 빼닮았다.

 

 

어릴 때와는 완전히 다른 모습이다.

특히 턱 형태(particularly the shape of his chin)는 전혀 딴판이다.

이전의 사진들로 볼 때(from previous photos) 김정은은

김일성과 조금도 비슷하게 생기지 않았었다(look nothing like his grandfather).

얼굴 모습 변화가 너무나 극적(be quite dramatic)이다.

때문에 성형 도움을 받았을(have some cosmetic help) 것이라는 추측도 나오고 있는 것이다.

아무튼 김정은의 김일성 모방과 흉내는 지금까지 알려지지 않았던 장래 지도자의 지위를 높이려는

(raise the hitherto unknown pros pective leader's standing)

공조 노력의 일환으로(be all part of a concerted effort) 보인다.

죽은 김일성의 환생을 통해 차기 지도자로서의 김정은 위치를 공고히 하려는
